We would like to thank all composers, musicians, our team, and all sponsors and helpers who made klubkatarakt²⁰ possible.

Special thanks go to Sarah Davachi, our composer-in-residence this year, who enriched the festival with a solo concert and the European premiere of the entire cycle of her composition Long Gradus I – IV. The latter was performed in collaboration with the tireless Quatuor Bozzini from Montreal, Canada. In addition to the concert featuring Davachi’s composition, the string quartet played at the opening and made two further appearances during the Long Night. An ensemble in residence, in other words! Merci bien!

We would also like to thank the ensemble META (Karen Fritz, Katharina Hamp, Dirk Dullmaier), Darragh Morgan and Mary Dullea for an impressive performance of Morton Feldman’s For John Cage, Afrorack aka Brian Bamanya, Groupshow (Jan Jelinek, Andrew Pekler, and Hanno Leichtmann), as well as Alexander Schubert & Decoder.

Last but not least, we would like to thank all the musicians, improvisers, and composers from Hamburg who took part in the opening and the Long Night—it was a great pleasure for us!
